NATE is excited to announce Cindy Vassilowitch, CPA, EA, MST as our guest speaker for the 21st Annual Convention at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, NV May 2 – 5, 2015.

Cindy Vassilowitch is the owner of Premier Tax Consultant, LLC, a tax consulting firm that specializes in representing clients throughout the country before federal and state taxing authorities, on audits, appeals, collection and pre-litigation matters.  Ms. Vassilowitch is a certified public accountant (CPA), enrolled agent (EA) authorized by the US. Treasury and has her Masters in Taxation (MST).  She has three decades of experience with the IRS where she was the National Director for Appeals Tax Policy and Procedure as well as National Director Appeals Technical Guidance.   She is an adjunct professor at the John W. Welch School of Business MBA program at Sacred Heart University and the University of Bridgeport.  She has enjoyed speaking engagements before the American Bar Association (ABA), Tax Executive Institute (TEI) as well as various accounting and industry groups.

Ms. Vassilowitch is a federally trained mediator, adept in the art of negotiating client favorable settlements that reflect the strengths of her client’s position and the inherent weaknesses in the government’s positions.   She has been an advocate for the barter industry, having represented clients successfully before the IRS.  She is a proponent for government transparency, protection of taxpayer rights and advocacy for her clients.

Her program will focus on Information Reporting Requirements, taxability of income and deductibility of expenses as well as the timing of recognition.  She’ll also talk about the various types of contacts with the IRS; correspondence, audits, collection and litigation as well as provide us with insight on the ways to reduce the risk of IRS contacts and best practices for handling the high anxiety should the  IRS extend a personal invitation to you or your business.
